In FY 2024-25, domestic passenger vehicle sales in India grew by 2.6% year-on-year, reaching 4.34 million units. This growth was influenced by factors like weak urban demand and a high base effect. Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, sold 1.9 million units, recording a 2.7% year-on-year growth. Hyundai Motor India and Tata Motors also saw slight declines in their sales.
